Registry Africa SRS Upgrade Overview

The .africa integration will be moving to a new home as part of an upgrade to an improved Shared Registry System (SRS). We will regularly communicate developments and keep you informed every step of the way in the lead up to the final deployment date, which is set for 25 November 2020.

The upgrade is beneficial to both the Registry Operator and the Registrars. The underlying registry system will operate on the latest code base from our Registry Service Provider with an improved Registrar Portal and Back-end tools for administration. The main advantage is a move to containerised application development which offers more advantages around workload management, scalability and resilience with the aim of improved security and support for .africa registrations.
